Abstract
A review is presented of ammonia (7664417) poisoning in man. Topics reviewed include: local effects of ammonia on the eye and skin; systemic effects of inhaled ammonia, which can result in bronchitis or pneumonia; recommended threshold limit values in the air; and potential occupational exposures for various workers, especially chemical workers.
