Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP Reported are cases of 4 patients, 2 children and 2 adults, who were affected by idiopathic depression and were treated with IV ascorbic acid (vitamin C; Redoxon; I) 50 mg/kg/day for 2 weeks. Complete recovery from mental disturbances had occurred in all patients within the course of this treatment. It was concluded that very high doses of I have beneficial effects in mentally depressed states.
