Abstract
The introduction of bioeconomy leads to search of new high added value bio products that can be obtained from local natural resources that have not been used or are used with low added value. One of which is invasive species. In this desk study many of articles have been investigated to find potential use for the Solidago canadensis resource. As the results show that variety of possibilities is extensive, and the species contains antimicrobial, antioxidant, antibacterial and antifungal qualities that is important to use in pharmaceuticals, agriculture, medicine, cosmetics etc. Significant research is done in field of extracts and essential oil. Results show that all parts of S. canadensis can be used for obtaining a product. More research is advised in case of biorefinery and environmental application. (C) 2017 The Authors.
