| Abstract | The enantiomers of several polychlorinated xenobiotics (heptachlor, cis- and trans-chlordane, trans- and cis-heptachlorepoxide, oxychlordane, photo-heptachlor and photo-heptachlor-epoxide, photo-dieldrin, photo-chlordene, alpha-HCH, o,p'-DDT and o,p'-DDD) have been separated by gas chromatography with three beta-cyclodextrin derivatives as chiral selectors. Two of these selectors were dissolved in a polysiloxane stationary phase and one was chemically bonded to a polysiloxane backbone via hydrosilylation. The order of elution of some of the xenobiotics was determined by comparison with enantiomerically enriched reference compounds. |
