Abstract
A TLV-TWA of 400 ppm (1640 mg/m3) and a TLV-STEL of 500 ppm (2050 mg/m3) are recommended for occupational exposure to n-heptane and its isomers. These values are intended to minimize the potential for narcosis and respiratory irritation. Neurotoxicity is not considered an effect from exposure to heptane. Sufficient data were not available to recommend Skin, SEN, or carcinogenicity notations.
