Abstract
Case study of a 45-year-old man who was heavily exposed to organic solvents for 20 years and especially to 1,1,1-trichloroethane and dichloromethane for the last 15 years. The cluster of symptoms and occupational injury demonstrated heavy exposure to organic solvents. Five years after the cessation of exposure, disabling sequelae - and especially memory disorders - are still present. Besides, intellectual impairment was responsible for professional disqualification of this patient. These data are discussed together with those from the literature.
