Abstract
Nitrates have been shown to relax uterine muscle in premature labour. This case report demonstrates the effectiveness of nitrates in the treatment of cervical dystocia with entrapment of the fetal head in breech delivery, We present the case of a patient with a concealed pregnancy at 29 gestational weeks after spontaneous delivery of the fetal trunk at the patient's home. After emergency transfer to the hospital, two puffs of glyceryltrinitrate were given to resolve cervical entrapment and deliver the fetal head by the Mauriceau-Smellie-Veit grip.
