Abstract
High Efficiency Particulate Air (HEPA) filter systems are tested periodically by chemicals such as dioctyl phthalate (DOP) and di-2-ethylhexyl sebacate (DOS) to ensure adequate performance. For eight months, Westinghouse Hanford Company used Emery 3004 as a challenge aerosol for in-place HEPA filter system testing. This paper discusses the operational advantages of Emery 3004 and further discusses our test results.
