Abstract
Titanium oxide film (TiO2/Ti) were formed on the titanium
surface by micro-arc oxidation(MAO) in Na3PO4 solution. Then the Titanium oxide film(TiO2/Ti)
treatment by La(NO3)(3), The photocatalytic ability of titanium oxide coatings were evaluated by
photocatalytic degradation of scarlet dye aqueous solution. Using the TiO2/Ti as anod electrode,
the titanium as counter electrode, and with the UV lamp, constant current meter make up the
photoelectrocatalytic reactor was built. The results show that the photocatalytic activity of the
titanium oxide films was enhanced after La(NO3)(3) treatment. When La(NO3)(3) aqueous consistency
is 0.1mol.L-1 and soak time is 12 hour, the scarlet dye concentration of 20mg/L, electrolyte
concentration of 0.02 mol/L. The photoelectric degradation of scarlet dye is increased from 10.8%
to 39.8% by the photoelectrocatalysis and La(NO3)(3) treatment TiO2/Ti film photoelectric
degradation increased to 57.6% (C) 2011 Published by Elsevier Ltd. Selection and/or peer-review
