This work presents the results of studies on the electrical
conductivity of TiO2-delta and oxide phases TiOx at thermodynamic equilibrium and during cooling
in gas mixtures Ar-H-2/H2O in the temperature range of 900-1280 K. It has been shown that during
quick cooling the dependence of electrical conductivity of the TiO2-delta and TiOx phases has a
different character, which can be used for their differentiation. For the TiO2 oxide of near-
stoichiometric composition the measurements of electrical conductivity during quick cooling allow
calculating the band gap in the measurement temperature. UV-VIS studies on frozen samples of
titanium oxides have shown that only for TiO2-delta obtained at high oxygen pressures it is
possible to determine the optical gap.
