Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP A new formulation of a self-emulsifying excipient containing a nonionic emulsifier and isopropyl myristate and its characteristics for use in cosmetics and as a vehicle for topical drugs are described. The shiny white cream is nongreasy and has a pH of 6.8 at 20DGC. It was found the product has satisfactory stability, rheological qualities, a high degree of moisturizing and emollient properties, and a degree of occlusivity.
