BIOSIS COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. A computer-assisted retardation factor prediction system (RFPS) has been investigated for fifteen O-ethyl-O-aryl-N-isopropyl phosphoroamidothioates in HPTLC. The system is based on the use of four physico-chemical parameters:hydrophobicity (II), electric effect (sigma), field effect (F), and steric effect (ES), all of which have a significant influence on HPTLC retention mechanism. The system has been evaluated by comparison of measured retardation factors with those predicted: excellent agreement was found between predicted data and experimental results.
