HAPAB FDCTC, the title compound, is a recommended topical antifungal preparation available in Belguium as a 1% concentration either as ointment, powder or solution. The bases for the three respective forms are: polyethylene glycol; talc, 1% salicylic acid and 10% boric acid; and 1% isopropyl alcohol. Five cases are reported of acute eczematous allergic contact dermatitis following treatment with one of the forms of FDCTC; there was one case of tinea inguinalis, two of tinea pedis, one of erythrasma of the groin and one of dyshidrosis of the hands. Patch tests confirmed FDCTC as the allergen. Epidemiology and Treatment 69/10/00, 342 1969
