Abstract
The mechanism is considered for lead catalysts that produce an anomalous pressure dependence of the burning rate for propellants. A model is devised for the changes in catalysts rate for the simultaneous NO2 + RCHO and NO + C reactions. This explains the measured behavior of the soot formation rate at the burning surface.
