Environment Impact Assessment (EIA) is critical for sustainable development of the industrial park. As an indispensable part of the system of regional environmental impact assessment (REIA), air quality assessment and regional atmospheric environmental capacity are prerequisite for the planning and development of the industrial park. Based on selecting the factors of atmospheric quality assessment, the evaluation and prediction of regional atmospheric environment quality were conducted in Pingchang Industrial Park, Sichuan, SW China, using Single Factor Evaluation Method and Box-type Air Quality models in this paper. The results showed that regional environmental atmospheric quality in this park met the requirement of Standard Grade II of National Ambient Air Quality Standard (NAAQS). The atmospheric environmental capacity is 301.1 t/a, 1000 t/a for SO2 and TSP respectively, and meet the requirements of total mass control of pollutants and environmental capacity. Accordingly, the comprehensive countermeasures for prevention and control of the air pollution with characteristic of "source control + end treatment + trace monitoring" was proposed.
