Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The complex processes associated with the reaction of hydrogen peroxide with both melanin pigment and hair proteins is discussed. The kinetics and mechanisms of the bleaching process and the physical-chemical changes undergone by the pigment are outlined.
