Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The development of an aluminum toxicity syndrome following dialysis, characterized by encephalopathy, osteomalacia, increasing anemia, and cardiotoxicity, is described. Twelve fatal cases of encephalopathy, 4 of them involving cardiotoxicity, are reported and a probable mechanism of action is suggested.
