A new agricultural antibiotic-ningnanmycin

BIOSIS COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. A new antibiotic was isolated from fermentation broth of Streptomyces noursei var. xichangensis by cationic ion exchanger, macroporous weak cationic exchanger and neutral aluminium oxide column chromatographies and purified by high performance liquid chromatography. Its molecular weight was determined by FDMS as 444(M+1). The formula C16H25N7O8 was based on the results of the elemental analysis. The structure was elucidated by means of UV-, IR-, 1H-NMR-, 13C-NMR-, does not identified with gougerotin or qinfengmycin, compared with their Rf value on paper chromatogram and biological activities. It shows intensive effect to Xanthomonas campestris pv., Erysiphe graminis, Erysiphe cichoracearum. From its hydrolyt it was isolated and identified as 1(4-amino-4-deoxy beta-D-glucoronyl) cystosine, L-serine, sarcasine and NH.Cl. Therefore, the new agricultural antibiotic Ningnanmycin belongs to a cytosine nucleoside antibiotic structural same as gougerotin but isomer to gougerot
