Abstract
BIOSIS COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. Micro FT-IR spectroscopy has been used to characterise analytically the solid inorganic component of the urban aerosol of Milan. The results of this technique together with those of electron probe micro analysis coupled with scanning electron microscopy (SEM-EDX) are full of promise and lead us to foresee the possibility of interesting applications in the field of study of inorganic species present in urban aerosols. Compared to EDX, micro FT-IR spectroscopy offers the advantage of characterizin sione (SEM-EDX) sono promettenti e fanno intravedere la possibilita di interessanti applicazioni nel campo dell'individuazione delle specie chimiche inorganiche presenti nell'aerosol urbano. La microspettroscopia FT-IR, rispetto alla spettroscopia EDX, offre il vantaggio di individuare con sicurezza un elevato numero di composti inorganici presenti nell'aerosol.
