Abstract
Results are reported on the polymerisation of methyl methacrylate in aqueous nitric acid with the redox initiator system ceric ammonium nitrate/isobutyl alcohol. The polymerisation rate was determined gravimetrically, while the rate of ceric ion consumption was determined by titration of ceric ion. 11 refs.
