Abstract
HEEP COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. The methods for maintaining an erythroblastic leukemia (EBL) by transplantation of erythroblastic leukemia cells from the liver of an animal with a 7,8,12-trimethylbenz(a)anthracene(TMBA)-induced leukemia into 1-5 day old rat pups were presented. The transplanted leukemia was rapidly induced (less than 18 days) and had a greater than 98% transmission rate. These EBL cells should become a useful system for studies of cellular maturation and neoplastic transformation.
