Abstract
This study is the first to report an association between exposure to phthalates and, in particular, to di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP), and insulin resistance in adolescents. Given the currently rising prevalence of diabetes among the young, these results show the need to continue investigating these relations.
