Abstract
As you might have expected, The Bee Movie is not in fact much about bees. Still, The National Honey Board is betting that the fun of it - and it's a lot of fun - will be a good enough thing. Here's a movie where bees, mostly demonized or ignored in animated films, are heroes. And pollination (never mind that it is done by macho drones sprinkling dust like Tinker Bell) is shown to be important to our well being.
