Abstract
In recent years, the environment pollution caused by the combustion of a large amount of coals has been received considerable attention. This paper studied on the deashing and desulphur of the Datong coal with oil agglomeration. The oil agglomeration is a coal cleaning technique based on the surface property, where separation is achieved due to differences in the surface properties of the organic and inorganic constituents of coal. The effects of parameters on oil agglomeration such as the particle size, agglomeration time, amounts of bridging oil, FeCl(3) and Sodium oleate were studied in this paper. The results of the agglomeration were evaluated by the ash rejection and sulfur rejection. On the given conditions, the ash and the sulfur of the Datong coal were decreased from 16.87% and 0.44% to 1.95% and 0.16%, respectively. The effects of the desulfurization were very evidence when added FeCl(3), and the percent of the ash rejection and sulfur rejection were 88.441% and 63.64%, respectively.
