Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP Acute severe kidney failure in a 31-yr-old male herpes simplex patient who was given acyclovir (I), 5 mg/kg/day for 2 days, is reported. Anuria occurred 3 days after I was discontinued. Hemodialysis was instituted and continued for 7 days. The patient recovered completely.
