Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The possible loss of cationic surfactants in 6 commercial brands and formulations of quaternary ammonium compound disinfectant solutions in plastic and glass bottles was evaluated by 6 months' storage tests at 37DGC and 12 months at room temperature (15-25DGC). Results show that the solutions exhibited no cationic surfactant loss over 6 months at 37DGC or 12 months at room temperature. There was no significant difference between the solutions in plastic and those in glass containers.
