IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP Oral single doses of 0.25 mg and 0.50 mg Z-1170 HCl (broxaterol hydrochloride) were evaluated in 12 patients with bronchial asthma, aged 16-60 yr, to assess if the drug can inhibit bronchial constriction from inhaled distilled water mist. Drug inhibited bronchial constriction resulted from the bronchogenic stimulus used. The bronchodilating effect appeared to be dose-related.
