BIOSIS COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. The authors have carried out researches with the aim to value the productivity of fattening pigs (from 40 to 140 kg of live weight) reared during 135 days in conditions of chronic B1 aflatoxicosis, by means of feed contamination with aflatoxin B1 at the doses of 500, 650 and 800 p.p.b. Independently from the dose, the aflatoxin B1 does not affect the health status of the herd, as it is able to negatively condition the productive performances, with significative regard to the weight gain, the feed utilization, the carcass, ham and shoulder yield and the chemical composition, digestibility and tenderness of meat. The clinical reliefs effected on blood, on urine and on feces have shown that aflatoxin B1, mostly at the doses of 650 and 800 p.p.b., can affect the intestinal absorption of fats, the renal functionality and the levels of alkaline phosphatase. From the examination of the parenchymal reports, considered under the morphologic, histochemical and histoenzymatic aspec
