IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP Necrosis of myeloma infiltrated ileum in a 74-yr-old male patient, following antineoplastic therapy with vincristine, 2 mg by intravenous injection, oral melphalan, 15 mg/day for 5 days and prednisolone, 125 mg/day for 5 days, was reported. The necrosis was treated by surgical resection. It was concluded that necrosis of bowel infiltrated with neoplastic tissue should be considered in patients with myeloma who develop peritonitis after cytotoxic therapy.
