IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The efficacy of omeprazole (I) in the eradication of Helicobacter pylori and the healing of antral gastritis was studied in 18 patients who were given 20 mg/day of I for 28 days. It was shown that after therapy, 10 patients (56%) were negative for H. pylori. All these patients showed regression of gastritis and healing of duodenal ulcer; 8 patients remained H. pylori positive.
