Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The separation of progestins (norethindrone, norethynodrel, megestrol acetate, norgestrel, chlormadinone acetate, and ethynodiol diacetate) from estrogens (ethinyl estradiol, mestranol, estradiol, and estradiol benzoate) in the variable proportions which are usually encountered in commercial anovulatories, is described. Gel filtration on a synthetic polysaccharide (Sephadex LH-20), and direct determination by UV spectrometry is used. Tables and elution diagrams are included.
