Abstract
A kind of acicular nano-hydroxyapatite (n-HA) was prepared by a microwave liquid-phase method with Na3PO4 center dot 12H(2)O and Ca(NO3)(2)center dot 4H(2)O as precursor and controlling PO43- by regulating the pH value. X-ray diffraction (XRD), Raman Spectra (RS), Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FT-IR), and Transmission Electron Microscope (TEM) were used to analyze the phase composition and morphology of this powder. The results indicate that the bone-like n-HA crystal can be prepared by the microwave liquid-phase method. The synthesized n-HA crystals are acicular, with sizes of (10 similar to 20) nmx(50 similar to 70) nm. The degree of crystallinity is increased with prolonging the microwave heating time, and the morphology of the crystals is transited from acicular to short prismatic.
