Epoxy resins based on 1,1′-bis(4-hydroxyphenyl) cyclohexane and 1,1′-bis(3-methyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) cyclohexane were synthesized and characterized for their epoxy equivalent, spectral and thermal analyses. Resins were thermally stable upto about 224-30°C and involved two-step decomposition. The kinetics of degradation followed first order reaction. The energy of activation and frequency factor were determined according to Horowitz-Metzger method and discussed.
