For studying the swelling and mechanical performance changes of Nitrile Butadiene Rubber(NBR) stator of Electrical Submersible-motor-driven Progressive Cavity Pumping (ESPCP) in Cyclohexane soak the NBR with 18% acrylonitrile contention in Cyclohexane at (23 +/- 2)degrees C for 168h. The results indicated that: the quality of rubber is increasing with the increase of soaking time and they increase rapidly in the first 24 hours then gently. The swelling quality increment is inversely proportional to the thickness; it's lower than the original value after soak and dried. That means the auxiliaries are pulled out. After soaking the hardness decreased then increased after soaked and dried. After soaking the tensile break time, tensile strength and permanent deformation rate are all on a declining curve with soaking time and the corresponding numerical indicators after soaked and dried is more lower than soaked. The research results provide a basis for submersible screw pump stator rubber formula in specific conditions.
