Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP Anticonvulsant osteomalacia as a result of disturbed hepatic metabolism of vitamin D is discussed. Data was based on serum calcium and folic acid levels in 403 patients. The mean doses of the 4 most common drugs were: phenobarbital 135 mg., diphenylhydantoin (phenytoin) 290 mg., primidone 835 mg. and pheneturide (ethylphenacemide) 550 mg.
