Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The efficacy and duration of effect of 4 vehicles used for the I.P. injection of trine1-tetrahydrocannabinol (trine1-THC) was investigated in mice. The following vehicles were used: bovine serum albumin-saline (BSA), 1% Tween (polysorbate) 80-saline, polyvinylpyrrolidone-saline, and 10% propylene glycol-1% Tween 80-saline. For all the vehicles, the volume of fluid injected was 0.1 ml./10 g. (10 ml./kg.), containing trine1-THC in a concentration of one or 4 mg./ml. depending on the dosage (10 or 40 mg./kg.). The vehicle of choice for I.P. administration was propylene glycol.
