IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The therapeutic effect of pentaerythritol tetranitrate (I; Peritrate) (40, 60 or 80 mg 4 times daily) was examined in 20 patients with coronary heart disease and angina. The results did not show significant differences between weekly angina attacks for patients receiving I or placebo. There was some evidence of increased treadmill exercise time due to I therapy.
