Abstract
The present study was undertaken to survey the extent of heavy metal contamination of untreated sewage water of Musi river in India and to report on the impact of irrigation with the water on soil-plant milch animal continuum. Milk samples gathered from cows that were exposed to contaminated water showed heavy metal contamination of cadmium, chromium, nickel, lead, cobalt, zinc, copper, iron and manganese.
