Final rept. rmy Woodbridge Research Facility (WRF) is a former military communication center and research and development laboratory where electromagnetic pulse energy was tested on military and other equipment. This asbestos survey fulfilled a DOD policy requirement for an asbestos survey prior to property transfer. A total of 142 bulk samples were collected and later analyzed by polarized light microscopy, coupled with dispersion staining techniques to determine if any of the samples could be categorized as asbestos containing material (ACM). Six of the 142 bulk samples collected were ACM; however, none were friable or significantly damaged. No remediation of ACM was required. jg p.2.
