Abstract
HEEP COPYRIGHT: BIOL ABS. Biochemical characteristics of NADPH-dependent and cumene Hydroperoxide-dependent lipid peroxidation in mouse liver microsomes were compared. Inhibition by monooxygenase substrates and by n-octylamine, KCN, glutathione, MnCl2, CoCl2 was observed in both systems while only the NADPH-dependent system was inhibited by EDTA and bipyridyl CCl4, paraquat, pp. and dithiothreitol stimulation was observed only in the NADPH dependent system. Only the NADPH-dependent system had a requirement for chelated Fe.
