Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP Magnesium lauryl sulfate (I), at a concentration of 2.0% to 0.5% w/w, was tested as a disintegrant/lubricant in the manufacture of Emcompress tablets (calcium phosphate dibasic). In all cases, the tablets were well lubricated with adequate weight variation and appearance friability. However, the disintegration times were much too high. It was suggested that better results could be obtained with I particle size reduced below 50 mcm.
