Abstract
IPA COPYRIGHT: ASHP The radiomimetic equivalence of triethylenemelamine methylmethanesulfonate (methanesulfonic acid methyl ester), ethanemethylsulfonate (ethanesulfonic acid methyl ester), 1,3-propanediol-bis-methanesulfonate, n-butylmethanesulfonate (methanesulfonic acid butyl ester) and other similar compounds was tabulated and compared in terms of the number of functional groups, rads, concentration of radicals and other parameters. It was concluded that the collective damage depends on the total quantity of mutagenic materials to which the population is exposed and maximum limits of concentrations permitted in air, water, soil and food should be established.
