The objective to this study was to investigate the toxicological effect of endosulfan (an organochllorine insecticide)on the liver of rabbit. The animals were divided into two groups. Group A was the control while Group B received doses of the insecticide for one two three four, five and six weeks. Liver was removed from the treated rabbit at various time intervals for histological studies. Results showed loss in body weight. Histological effects showed decrease in size of hepatocytes, increase in number of kupffer cells and hepatcoytes, pyknosis, degeneration of nuclei, inflammation in liver parenchyma, necrosis, infiltration of leukocytes and vacuolation of hepoatocytes.
