Abstract
The median tolerance limits (TLm) of 86 different chemicals and combinations of chemicals, both organic and inorganic, are given for 9 different animals in 3 different support media. Determination of the TLm of a chemical at a different time may show variations from the expected because of differences in test animals available at the different times of testing. Lymnaea sp. eggs show TLm values comparable to those of adults of other forms because of protection afforded by the egg case. Increasing or decreasing the pH of a concentration of a chemical can cause an increase or decrease in toxicity commensurate to the logarithmic basis for pH.
