Abstract
Various methods (freezing, freeze drying, and immersion in formaldehyde) were compared for the preservation of samples of fish tissues and mussels prior to determination of trace elements. Differences in the results obtained appeared to be due to poor analytical precision rather than to the method of preservation used.
