Abstract
Nano-sized BaAl12O19 particles with different morphologies, i.e. spherical, cylindrical, spindly, and acicular, were prepared in the reverse microemulsion. The effects of microemulsion composition and drying method on the particle morphology were investigated. It was found that the acicular BaAl12O19 catalyst has higher thermal stability and catalytic activity for methane combustion than the spherical one.
