Abstract
Direct microcalorimetry measurements were carried out during the adsorption of methane and carbon dioxide at 300 K on various zeolite systems. The influence of both size and surface chemistry are highlighted on the enthalpies of adsorption of these gases. Carbon dioxide is shown to be an ideal probe for the characterisation of zeolites at room temperature.
