Bis-(di-2-ethylbutylphosphinyl)-methane, EBDPM, and bis-(dicyclohexylphosphinyl)-methane, CHDPM, form the following crystalline complexes: UO2(NO3)2 EBDPM, 2Th(NO3)4. 3EBDPM, UO2(NO3)2·CHDPM and Th(NO3)4·CHDPM. The nitrates are coordinated and the ligands are probably bidentate. These complexes are of high thermal stability.
