Abstract
Presents a case of a 31-year-old male who had been accidentally exposed for about two hours to formaldehyde that leaked from a malfunctioning reactor gasket while working in chemical plant producing urea-formaldehyde resins. Case history; Immunological assessment; Temporal relationship between accidental high-level exposure to formaldehyde and the rapid onset of asthma symptoms; Specific immunoglobulin E antibodies against toluene diisocyanate.
