Abstract
Three case histories are presented which attribute allergic reactions to an aniline dye; food coloring agent (hydrazine yellow; FD and C yellow no.5 (when certified); trisodium salt of 3-carboxy-5-hydroxy-1-sulfophenylazopyrazole). This.material was found in Decadron (dexamethasone) 0.5 mg tablets, Paracortol (prednisolone) 5 mg tablets and Deronil (dexamethasone) 0.75 mg tablets. Three different pharmaceutical companies produced the above products.
